Senior Fund Accountant 12 Month FTC Dublin/Galway
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join our clients dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. This position is based in South Dublin or Galway and offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Fund Administration space. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing fund accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fund Accounting: Perform day-to-day fund accounting activities, including NAV calculations, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Client Management: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing expert advice, and building strong client relationships.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Stay updated with industry developments and implement best practices within the fund accounting function.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for clients, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and efficiency improvements within the fund accounting operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting within the fund administration industry.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, NAV calculations, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard fund accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience with hedge funds, private equity funds, or real estate funds is a plus.
