Financial Reporting Accountant – South Dublin
My Client is a leading player in the financial services industry, committed to delivering top-notch services to our clients. Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Participate in the implementation and enhancement of financial reporting systems and processes.
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Provide support during audits, responding to queries and providing documentation as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, adjusting reporting processes accordingly.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Adaptability to evolving requirements and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Prior experience in audit support is a plus.
