We are in a moment of contradiction. On one side, the financial sector in Ireland is experiencing strong ongoing growth across the board and Brexit related staffing additions within Financial Services. Adversely, there is an unnerving backdrop of uncertainty and downside risks actively shaping hiring decisions.
There are a number of converging factors influencing the recruitment of finance professionals within Dublin particularly – and more generally across Ireland. We note strong growth across the economy generally and an increase in available finance related positions, even with a starting point of essentially full employment for qualified financial professionals, with Chartered Accountants Ireland recording 99% employment among their members. With a trend of increased financial accountability and governance issues, we see firms from all sectors seeking to hire finance professionals.
